Premium Home Fixtures Decoupling

AEM components moved onto Next.js across catalog, account, and content pages.

February 2023 – October 2023

Frontend migration of a premium home-fixtures catalog from Adobe Experience Manager component structures to a Next.js React storefront, with SSR performance work and broad page coverage.

Problem
Catalog, account, and content experiences were trapped in AEM component structures that made performance, maintainability, and independent frontend delivery harder to control.
Solution
Refactored AEM-era frontend modules into Next.js React components, applied SSR and related performance techniques, tested through cutover, and documented patterns for later migrations.

Architecture notes

  1. Home, PLP, PDP, Contact Us, Policy, Account Settings, Browse All Store, and Content pages were in scope.
  2. SSR and refactoring targeted performance and maintainability together, not as separate phases.
  3. Functional and smoke tests during migration kept regressions visible before launch.
  4. Documentation and knowledge sharing made the next AEM-to-Next.js cutover cheaper.
